🌚 BA's Best Peanut Butter Cookies 🐐

  1. 1 Preheat oven to 350.

  1. 2 Toast peanuts in oven until browned & fragrant (6-8 minutes).

  3. 4 Coursely chop.

  1. 5 Brown butter over medium heat, swirling and scraping bottom often (4-6 minutes).
  2. 6 Let cool.
all-purpose flour

  1. 7 Whisk.

baking powder
1 2 tsp
baking soda
1 4 tsp

  1. 8 Beat on high in a fresh bowl until light and ribbony (~2 minutes).
  2. 9 Gradually add dry ingredients on low speed until gluten develops (~1 minute).

  1. 10 Add peanut butter, toasted peanuts, and brown butter.
  2. 11 Mix on low until fully incorporated (~30 seconds).
  3. 12 Let rest at room temp ~10 minutes.
  1. 13 Form 2tbsp balls, pressing with a fork to 1 2 " thick.
  2. 14 Cover and chill for 1 hour.
  3. 15 Increase oven temp to 375.
Demerara or raw sugar
for sprinkling
  1. 16 Sprinkle with sugar and salt.
  2. 17 Bake for 12-15 minutes until browned and crisp (optionally with water pot in oven for moisture).
