🌚 Spicy Lamb and Lentils with Herbs 🐐

INGREDIENT QUANTITY PROCEDURE
lentils, dried
1 2 cup
  1. 1 Cook according to package directions. For best results, use a pressure cooker

lamb, ground
1 lbs
  1. 2 Season lamb with salt and pepper and form into a giant patty
  2. 3 In a dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium heat and then add lamb patty
  3. 4 Cook until browned and crisp, 5 min
  4. 5 Flip patty and cook until other side is crisp, 5 min
  5. 6 Break up lamb into small pieces using a potato masher and/or back of a wooden spoon

garlic cloves, slived

  1. 7 Mix into meat
  2. 8 Cook, stiring occasionally, until fragrant and lamb is cooked through
  3. 9 Transfer lamb mixture to a bowl

  1. 10 In the same dutch oven, add cooked lentils (that have been drained from cooking liquid) and season with salt and pepper
  2. 11 Cook until lentils brown and become crisp
  3. 12 Return lamb to dutch oven and mix.
  4. 13 Remove from heat

  2. 15 Serve with pita and hummus or however you desire
